Design considerations for die casting include: parting line considerations, moving die components (slides), machined surfaces, finishing requirements and secondary/assembly operations. Fort Recovery Industries can participate or lead in the initial product design. We use 3D part modeling software to develop and communicate product designs to customers and tooling sources. During the product development process, prototype parts are commonly used to validate part designs. TOOLING Tooling design is an integral part of producing a quality product. We highly recommend that we become involved in your project as soon as possible to make recommendations that will benefit all involved. A properly engineered tool will assure part accuracy and extend die life. Premium tool steels and strict heat treat practices are used to ensure the tooling will perform from the first shot to its last.
